We are delighted to share the release of a new video featuring classical guitarist Damjan Bučić on the YouTube channel of the Omni Foundation for the Performing Arts.
In this performance, Damjan interprets Les Barricades Mystérieuses by François Couperin, in David Russell’s celebrated transcription for guitar. Filmed at the historic Castello di San Martino in Vittorio Veneto, Italy, the video combines an inspiring setting with a thoughtful and elegant musical interpretation.
For this recording, Damjan performed on a Wayra guitar built by Elvis Pajares. The project reflects a shared dedication to artistic excellence and to exploring the expressive possibilities of the classical guitar repertoire.
The performance has also received positive attention from music writer Stephen Smoliar, who recently highlighted the video in his blog The Rehearsal Studio.
We are grateful to Damjan Bučić, Omni Foundation, and everyone involved in the production for making this project possible. It is a pleasure to see a Wayra guitar featured in a performance that continues to reach audiences around the world through one of the leading platforms dedicated to the classical guitar.
