We are pleased to announce that a new Wayra 2026 is now available at Galerie des Luthiers in Lyon, France.
This instrument represents the continuing development of the Wayra concept: an All-Wood Double Top designed to combine the responsiveness and dynamic range of contemporary construction with the natural complexity and warmth of the traditional classical guitar.
Built in cedar and Indian rosewood, the 650 mm Wayra weighs approximately 1.4 kg. Its double-top construction uses a cedar core and seven traditional fan braces, reflecting our approach of combining modern structural principles with traditional guitar-making ideas.
The Wayra has been developed through the ongoing collaboration between Elvis Pajares and guitarist and pedagogue Rodrigo Herrera, with particular attention to weight, flexibility, and the distribution of mass and stiffness throughout the instrument.
We are particularly pleased with the way Galerie des Luthiers describes the instrument:
“Powerful, balanced, and responsive, its lightness makes it vibrant.”
This combination of lightness, responsiveness, and tonal character is at the heart of the Wayra concept and continues to guide its development.
Having the Wayra available in Lyon is another step in establishing Pajares Guitars within the European network of specialized classical guitar galleries and bringing our instruments closer to professional guitarists, teachers, and collectors.
The Wayra 2026 is now available at Galerie des Luthiers.
