We are delighted to share that the Trío Evocación will present an ambitious new program in their upcoming concerts: an original arrangement of the Variaciones Goldberg, conceived for three guitars by Luka Lovreković.
Widely regarded as one of the most profound and structurally refined works in the keyboard repertoire, the Goldberg Variations stand as a monumental exploration of form, variation, and expressive depth. Bringing this work into the realm of the guitar trio is both a bold artistic statement and a remarkable act of musical craftsmanship.
Lovreković’s arrangement opens new perspectives on the work, redistributing its intricate contrapuntal lines across three instruments while preserving its clarity, balance, and architectural integrity. In doing so, the trio invites audiences to experience this masterpiece through a new sonic lens — one shaped by the intimacy and color of the classical guitar.
This project also reflects the artistic identity of the trio: a combination of refined ensemble playing, individual virtuosity, and a shared commitment to expanding the guitar repertoire.
We are especially proud to see this program brought to life on instruments by Elvis Pajares, in a context that demands the highest level of responsiveness, transparency, and tonal richness.
